How to Get a Pup

Here at Perfect Peace we normally only have a few select litters a year, from Goldens who have passed their OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) tests of the hips, elbows, and heart and also have a recent Cerf. eye clearance as well. But most importantly we only breed Goldens who represent the true Golden in every avenue, especially in the area of temperament. Only those Goldens that represent the true Golden character will be considered for our kennel and future plans. A Golden who is loving, gentle, confident, and loyal is what we look for. It is our way of providing families with the best possible member of their future household. As we know that Goldens end up being the center of the home.

Here are some guidelines that must be met by any future new owner.

1. Our Puppies are sold only after careful screening of potential new owners. We love our puppies very much and it is important to us that they only end up in loving homes who will spoil them and give them the attention that Goldens need.
2. Our new owners are required to fill out a questionnaire before being given that spot for a puppy. We do take names for a waiting list, which means our puppies are only sold on a reservation basis. We never sell our puppies to anyone who is not on the waiting list, or has not filled out the questionnaire. Once time gets close to potential litter, we do take deposits ($300) to hold spots for puppies. To Approved New Owners Only!
3. A personal interview, either in person or over the phone is a must as well. This includes references of people who know your past experience with puppies and a vet if you have one. We encourage all sorts of questions or emails communicating your thoughts throughout the whole process. This helps us better serve you and also allows us to better know you as a family. It enables us to help you pick the perfect pup for your family.
What we Provide to you
1. Our puppies are raised in our home from birth and are very well socialized to everyday living. They have been temperament tested to ensure the proper Golden character and to help us assist you in your picking process in order to find that perfect fit of pup with owner.
2. All puppies will be vet checked and had their first vaccination. Every puppy will be wormed many times throughout their first few weeks with us. We believe in the natural forms of treatment and every puppy will be raised on the highest quality of food and given natural supplements to increase health and nutrition. We encourage this type of lifestyle in your home. We also encourage a limited Vaccination schedule. Please click here on what the AKC recommends. They will also be groomed regularly to ensure they are confident with the procedures for their future home. We now are tattooing our puppies and they will be registered with the AKC CAR (or Companion Animal Recovery). This is for lost and found protection!!
3. All our puppies are sold on "limited registration" and a spay/neuter contract. They all come with a 2 year health warranty against genetic disorders. All puppies are healthy and true to the Golden Character upon entering their new home.
4. We do begin the housetraining process by getting the pups familiar with inside life, and using the outside for their elimination. We also start them on crate training to help with future potty training at their future home.
5. Each puppy will come with a puppy packet of information on their beginning here, training tips, and other Golden Retriever related information. They will also come with their registration papers and our signed agreement to you. We will provide you with a sample of the food they have been on, as well as feeding tips and food we recommend. 6. We Pride ourselves in our service to you, before and after you receive your puppy. We are here for any questions you may have at any time, by giving us a call or emailing us. We love to hear how your new puppy is doing and from time to time will send you information as to everything that is going on here at Perfect Peace Goldens. We encourage all our new owners to let us know of any changes, moves they might have had to allow us to keep in touch with you from time to time.
