I was contacting by a wonderful family here in Nebraska
who had some unfortunate situations happen in their family. And their
two beautiful totally English Golden Retrievers are needing to find good
loving homes. These two dogs are just loving and raised with such care
and the family is heartbroken over loosing them but must, given their
current situation in their family. In no ways are they rehoming these
two because of something they did - but because of the unfortunate things
that have happened in their lives.
These two are not from my breeding here at Perfect Peace -
however from a kennel in Canada that I know to be an excellent
representative of a good breeder. Given the situations with the
breeder (who now has Lyme's Disease) I have agreed to help rehome these two
given I live close.
Both of these two will be coming here to live at Perfect
Peace - so I can evaluate them prior to being rehomed. But here is a
small write up from the previous owners. The new owners do not wish to
seperate the two - so they will be a combined package.
Here is some information from the current owners:
Champ is a Neutered male born 12/16/2002
Sadie is a spayed female born 7/03/2003
Champ would rather be wherever his human companion is. Champ
can't bear to be too long outside unless he's got human company. He will
always choose me in preference to anyone else. He is explorative and has
lots of bravado, but is as gentle as a lamb. I've seen him move into
protective stance when another dog was jumping on me and I was unknowingly
wincing as the big head kept coming in contact with my cheek, when Sadie was
being bullied, or when my boys were being growled at by another dog in play.
When on the loose, he is a natural born hunter. Champ is more cream-colored
with a light golden sheen across his back and ears. His hair is kinky and
curls when wet.
Sadie is sassy and she is a lover. She dances and prances and sings. She is
often content to just hang outside and has always been more independent. As
a puppy, she'd take a stick or a toy, retreat to her own private spot, and
turn her back on the other dogs at play. She teases Champ into play,
wrestling him and tugging at his neck or collar. When in a dog park or in
any open space, she runs loose but frequently comes running back to me to
just hang out or to get some loving. Sadie loves to hunt grasshoppers and
cicadas. She actually hops through the underbrush or high grass when she's
chasing one! Sadie looks like she's always smiling.
Both love to dig, to hunt (deer, rabbits, mice, geese, ducks, beavers), to
swim. If they're swimming and other wildlife is in the water, they'll swim
their hearts out to catch them! They love to run, to explore, to walk logs,
to leap through the woods and fields. They take joy in people,
especially children, and want to seek them out. Children who have been
afraid of dogs have overcome their fears with Champ and Sadie. They adore
their people pack and they are adored in turn. My boys are certainly rough
with them and they never flinch but accept the affection unreservedly
(albeit, I've caught a desperate look from one or both of them when they're
being pulled, poked, or prodded sometimes!).
Champ is leaner with a bold head. Sadie is a bit plump with beautiful doe
eyes. Exercise has been slack because of our dramatic lifestyle changes
since I adopted the boys as a single parent almost 3 years ago.
Some Photos - Champ is the cream, Sadie is the light Gold
I have lots more photos - if interested can send them to you!!
